You have time to get in one more MCLE opportunity before year end. We added an early December meeting, by popular demand! On Thursday, December 14, we will by hosting our annual legislative wrap-up, presented by our very own Jenny Lillge of Legislative Intent Service, Inc. You can now even pay online (see below - you can use any credit card, or a PayPal account).

January Meet the Judges Event - BBQ Included

On January 19 (a Friday), you will have an opportunity to socialize with our Superior Court judicial officers and hear presentations from each of them. This is a don't-miss event. It will be held at the Methodist Church on North Street, and includes a scrumptious on-site catered BBQ (with plenty of vegetarian options). Please mark your calendars... RSVP email will come out shortly.

Law Library
The Law Library wants to remind everyone that after-hours access to the library holdings (including electronic access) is limited to members of the Yolo County Bar Association. If you have forgotten to renew your membership, you can download the application (see link in this newsletter) and mail it in.

Legislative Update

Jenny Lillge of Legislative Intent Service, Inc., will be giving the annual legislative update. Come hear an interesting presentation, and compete in a trivia contest.

Law Library Policy
The law library has updated its policy on providing attorneys and judges with after hours access to its physical and electronic collections. Please see policy here.

Applications for Temporary Judges
Are you an experienced attorney willing to devote some time to serving as a temporary judge for traffic, unlawful detainer, or small claims cases?

An application and online training are required before the in-person training. For more information, see http://www.yolo.courts.ca.gov/general-info/temporary-judge

Mandatory in-person Bench Conduct and Demeanor training will be offered by the Court December 21, 2017, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
